The TUBBY DIY Bathtub Refinishing Kit can be used on porcelain, cast iron, fiberglass, cultured marble, pressed steel, ceramics and plastics. It can also be used on showers stalls, jacuzzi's, basins, tiles, toilet exteriors and bidets. In fact, any surface like a fridge or freezer can be resurfaced with the TUBBY DIY Bathtub Resurfacing Kit.

STRINGENT TESTS

TUBBY has been scientifically tested by the National Standards Authority in its country of origin to prove its resilience, long term performance and safety. It WILL NOT CRACK on contact with very hot water and is resistant to discoloration. it is also very safe to use as it contains NO CAUSTIC MATERIALS.

EASY APPLICATION

TUBBY is easy to prepare and to apply. Good surface preparation is the secret of success. A sound base must first be obtained onto which TUBBY can adhere.

A pack of abrasive powder and sponge is included to remove any traces of grease and dirt, etc. The shine must then be removed using sand paper by hand (or a palm sander if you have one).

As many old bathtubs have lost their original surface, this job should not be too difficult - however it must be done thoroughly.

You can fill dents or cavities using Bondo Glass Fiberglass Filler (or similar). Masking tape is provided to protect the overflow and drain outlets.

The two-part TUBBY coating is then mixed and one third is applied using the special moltoprene roller included in the kit. Any awkward areas, (i.e. around the drain) are coated using the paint brush. The self-leveling paint will become touch dry after about an hour. The rest of the coating is then applied using the second roller head. Clear, simple instructions are provide inside every kit.

COVERAGE AND CONTENTS

One kit will cover a 5ft bathtub or basin, toilet exterior and bidet. Approximately 30 square feet total coverage. It contains everything you need to do the job from start to finish: coating, hardener, cleaning powder, sponge, sandpaper, masking tape, faucet covers, paintbrush, 2 moltoprene roller heads, roller handle, paint tray, stirrer and instruction leaflet.
